Parents
Okay, so let’s be clear about this: being a parent is about the hardest, most crazy-making thing you can do. Most of us had no idea what the job entails before we applied, and by the time we found out it was too late to go back. What's more, through an extraordinary shortfall in the current legal system we can divorce any number of annoying husbands or wives, but we can’t divorce our children.
Go figure?
I can’t change the current laws, but hopefully there are some things here that might help to make the job a little easier. I’m going to be adding to this page on a regular basis so do pop back.
Wow, you remember that time that journalist guy said he wanted to write a positive piece about how things were going for me in Australia, and then he actually wrote that piece where he set me up against the beige brigade to try and create a controversy around my comment that it's okay to lock kids in their rooms, and he did, except then 98% of the country agreed with me and thought the beige brigade were just... you know... beige? Yeah, that was a crazy couple of days...

The BBC's Dinosaur World
If you have kids who like dinosaurs then they're going to love this.
It's a really cool interactive Dinosaur world produced by the BBC (the people who made "Walking with Dinosaurs") and it is great. You can walk around a 3D dinosaur world and learn all kinds of things about the big beasties as you go.
Make sure you stand right in front of the Allosaur and turn the sound up loud!
My six year old thinks it is absolutely brilliant. It's not small (20mb) so you'll need broadband to download it. Even on dialup it's worth the wait.
